What is Dubai Travel Insurance, and why do you need it?

Dubai is a popular tourist hotspot for Brits due to its welcoming atmosphere and hot weather. It welcomes more than one million British visitors a year and has high medical costs. So, it’s important to get cover if you’re planning a visit. At AllClear, we’ll cover you, even with a pre-existing medical condition. Plus, we also cover lost luggage, cancelled holidays, and costs from changes to travel plans.

Having Travel Insurance with proper medical cover is a must-have for Dubai. Here’s why:

  • Temperatures can reach over 40 °C between April to September. These months experience extreme heat, especially in July and August. Doctors in the UAE have warned that heat-related illnesses are on the rise. Travel Insurance covers hospital costs for heat stroke or exhaustion.
  • Healthcare costs in Dubai are extremely high. According to the Dubai Health Authority, average hospital treatments can cost as much as £13,000. Some hospitals require upfront payment for tourists without local insurance.
  • Seasonal influenza is common in Dubai, aggravated by the sand outside and the air con inside. The rates of influenza are increasing yearly, and it requires medication to be treated properly. Without Travel Insurance, you’ll have to cover the cost of an treatment or medication. These may be more expensive or require special permissions in the UAE.

Our experts say…

“Dubai is a dazzling destination year-round. It offers a perfect blend of luxury, adventure, and culture. But even paradise has its unexpected challenges. And surprise circumstances can quickly dampen your spirits. Unexpected desert storms can affect travel plans and irritate lung conditions. Meanwhile, potential foodborne illnesses could disrupt your trip. Don’t let unexpected medical costs ruin your dream holiday. With travel insurance, you can relax and immerse yourself in the magic of Dubai, knowing you’re protected.”
